The loud CRACK of the walnut
Sounds so satisfying- triumphant
As I devour it's inner treasure
And with it I drank the reddest
Wine I could get my hands on
It burns my soul with power
This is my subtle way of revenge
If only the walnut was his head
And the wine was his blood that bled
Perhaps it would've tasted sweeter

This little free-verse poem is for Poetic-State-Of-Mind's prompt this week. First thing that popped on my mind when I saw the prompt "sweet" was revenge. Gotta say, I did try to think of something else besides revenge and I came up with victory. But eh, revenge sounds more fun to do.
