Literature Text

Grains of golden sand slips through
My fingers as I embraced my Riches
The winning sensation lasts
But a few minutes, days, years
Until it gradually fades- slips
Away in our hourglass of memories
Not diamonds or precious gems- it
Is simply Riches. Human Riches.
This poem is for Poetic-State-Of-Mind's prompt, which is Riches. It is not the "riches" of gold or gems, nor is it the richness of a chocolate cake or the rich taste of your morning coffee;  I decided to write the riches of knowledge and happy memories one obtains. Hope y'all enjoy my poem. :)
