Slowly and majestically, little ice fairies came
Gliding down and down, all of them looked the same
Their touch granted me an icy gown that shined bright
Bright like a diamond in the lonely, arctic night

I sadly shivered the dress off; it cannot be this way
"I want to go home," I thought as I slowly drifted away
A wandering iceberg, and I, stranded on my winter throne
The night sighed, pushing me deep into the frosty unknown

How did I came to be on this frozen domain, lost and alone?
I can't remember...all I can recall is that I'm on my own
Abandoned here, I'm subjugated to this unwanted isolation
Am I going to be cursed here, forever on this vacation?

Emeralds danced on the black water and winked at me
I looked toward the night sky to witness its beauty
Green and blue flames fluttered in the sea of stars
The Northern Lights- like fireflies in luminescent jars

I was back in the countryside, there's a nice autumn breeze
I felt the grassy fields that were home to my sweet honeybees
Apples glittered in the trees like rubies, dazzling and precious
Fresh mountain dew fell from above, plentiful and generous

So magical, the aurora...this wondrous heavenly view
To present me with my beloved memories clear and true
Tranquility and familiarity embraced me warmly
As I melted into the freezing abyss peacefully
Here's my third entry for Writing4fun's contest that they are holding :)

A Beautiful piece; it was at first hard to understand but I worked it out to be about someone finding themselves alone in the frozen cold sitting on a iceberg with icy fairies dancing about as they long for the warmth and company and familiarity of home ; this is probably one of your absolute best pieces with a great amount of emotion in it :)
